Promotion to the higher class up to class X and for class XII is on the basis of Annual Record of the pupil which includes :
1. Project work / Practical Work.
2. Class work and Home Assignments.
3. Unit tests.
4. Terminal Examination.
5. Annual Examination.

The school prepares students for the Secondary and Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (under 10+2 scheme) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. Under the Three-language formula, those students who do not clear the third language in class VIII and are promoted to class IX, shall be re-examined in that subject.
No student is eligible to appear in the Secondary School Examination at the end of class X, unless he/she has cleared the third language.
Grading system of 9-point scale, set by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi is followed for all classes. A student getting ‘E’ grade and below will be required to take a grade improvement test in order to earn a promotion to the next class.
